Detection of Weld Line Defect for Oil-gas Pipeline Based on X-rays Image Processing

Abstract

The optimal threshold method is used for the x-ray welding image segmentation in this paper. The quality of welds is judged by determining whether there has air bubble or not in the weld image. Processed by x-ray real-time imaging detection system for the weld image of a oil pipe factory, the results shows that the proposed method can be carried out in identification of weld quality successfully.
