Web-based 3DGIS Geological Database Information System for Baiyunebo Iron Mine

In this paper, we design a web-based 3DGIS geological database information system for Baiyunebo Iron Mine, the largest REE Deposit in the world. The established 3DGIS geological database takes boreholes as the basic units, and store 3D geographical coordinates and corresponding property data. These data include the categories and the grades of iron ore, rare earth ore, and niobium, the ingredients of K, Na, P, S and Fl, the mine rock characters such as rock type, Pu-rigidity, joint, crevice, stability and water-absorbency of rock body, etc. The system is adopts Oracle 11i as the basis DBMS. The architecture of the system consists of typical three-tier: Web server, application server and data layer. The main businesses of the system include the web transportation for geological reference map, ore quality synchronization, ore grade optimization and side slope stability analysis, etc.
