Reusability of Shoes’ Design Information Based on KBE and CBR

A method of reusing and retrieving shoes’ design information using CBR (Case Based Reasoning) in area of knowledge based engineering was presented, and a new framework for reusing design information had been created. The framework and CBR inference engine were introduced. And it emphasized the knowledge expression of mold cases by level decomposition tree BNF (Backus Normal Form) description, a method of measure similarity between the design cases and problem requirement by the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, and the method of reusing and retrieving shoes’ design information. This method was validated by the design case of sport shoes in the end.
