This article has introduced the basal principle of IntServ and SNMP. IntServ carries on the network resources reservation before transmission data according to QoS demand of the business, and it adopts resources reservation agreement (RSVP ) which face flows. It is to reserve and maintain the resources at each node that is in the transmission path of flows. there are the VOD Server for On-demand client and a BCM server in SNMP. Agent software is installed on the VOD Server, which is used for applying for bandwidth, and the BCM is the core of the system. According to their characteristic, this article has implemented a new end-to-end IPv6QoS mechanism of combining IntServ with SNMP.
