Ripple Effect in Software Architectures: en route avoidance

Abstract

Software Evolution and its Analysis is not mere estimating the physical size of the software and its change history, rather measuring the strength and size of the software and the functional aspects of the software along with hidden behavioral characteristics. In this course of evolution analysis the relevant cause and effect relationship exists between the modules. The effect of the modules or functional component lies on the neighboring modules. Low level software engineering methods propose various testing methods and reverse engineering using artifacts. Architectural view of the software exhibits the composition and as well as the skeletal arrangements in the software in which cause-effect analysis of the modules can be performed in terms of high level units of the software. In this paper a mechanism to analyze the cause-effect relationship between the modules is proposed.
